HISTORY

Sitting on the banks of Newcastle’s historic Quayside since 1880 in a Grade II listed building , Riverside is one of the cities most Iconic buildings sitting on the banks of the Tyne. The building itself has had many uses over the years but is now a fully fledged livespace and art space for musicians and artists alike.

The Venue already has a long heritage of touring bands with artists as diverse as Jimmy Cliff, Public Image Ltd, Courtney Love, Royal Blood, Interpol, The Sonics, The Zombies, The Coral, Lee Scratch Perry, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Fall and lots more already taking to its stage.

Refurbished for 2018 & taken back to its roots as a celebrated Live Space for Local, National & International touring bands, it now boasts all new lights and L Acoustics Sound.

On a weekend the space doubles as a celebrated Club Space for Newcastle’s nightlife till late with an LED Video Wall & two rooms of the cities finest resident DJ’s and the best atmosphere in Newcastle.
